Ilana Marie Bonanno Resident of Antioch Ilana Marie Bonanno departed this life October 19, 2010, at the age of 23. Ilana was born in Albany, OR, on January 6, 1987, but lived most of her life in Antioch, CA, spreading joy with her infectious laugh and her generous heart. Ilana collected people wherever she went, and loved her family and friends deeply. She will be forever remembered for many things, but most of all for the following: her insistence on putting the needs of others before her own, always; her work with and dedication to children with disabilities at Perkins School for the Blind in Boston, MA; the incredible bond she shared with her big sister; her summers spent working in Alaska alongside her dad; her ability to charm anyone, just like mom; her tireless availability to anyone who needed a shoulder to cry on; her countless trips to Modesto, CA, to visit her Big Fat Greek Family; her eclectic taste in music; her ability to quote every commercial, movie, and television show ever aired; her love of animals; and her beautiful singing voice. Ilana is survived by her parents, Bob and Maria Bonanno, of Antioch, CA, by her sister, Michelle Bonanno, of Boston, MA, and by her aunts, uncles, cousins, and godsons. Trisagion will be held on Thursday, October 21, at 7:00pm, and Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 22, at 10:00am, both at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, 313 Tokay Ave, Modesto, CA.
