Wendy Kay Gormley June 26, 1964 ~ Dec. 1, 2010 Resident of Concord Suddenly and unexpectedly Wendy passed away while sleeping on the evening of 12/1/2010. The cause of death at this time is still unknown. Wendy is survived by her soul mate and husband Michael; cherished daughter Ashlee Pestana; loving brothers Scott (Delia) Adams; Billy Williams; & Wayne (Natalie) Williams; and many nieces and nephews. Wendy thoroughly enjoyed and loved spending time with her nieces and nephew and their parents. Wendy was; preceded in death by her caring mother Elsie Marie and her father Kenneth Pendry. Wendy will always be remember for her infectious smile and magnetic personality. She always had a sympathetic ear and a caring shoulder for someone who was feeling down. Wendy grew up in Concord and still remains friends with many early acquaintances. Wendy graduated from Mt. Diablo High in '82. Upon graduation she held many different jobs until finally getting into the printing and Graphic design industry. She was blessed with the birth of her daughter Ashlee Marie in August of '90. Wendy continued her career in the Graphics industry until retiring from Contra Costa County in August 2009. Wendy met Michael in the summer of '97 and soon after Ashlee and Wendy moved in with him. Wendy's little family lived happily together until one day she decided she wanted to get married on 7/7/07. So off to Vegas they flew to get married! Wendy loved her motorcycle rides and trips around North America on the back of Mike's Harley. She logged tens of thousands of miles touring around the U.S, Mexico & Canada. Though they traveled quite a lot, her favorite place in the world was Mexico. Wendy & Mike would often go for weeks at a time to the Yucatan area. They bought property in Tulum and were planning to build their retirement home next year. Visitation, Thursday, December 9, 2010 from 3-6pm at Ouimet Bros.
