Vincent Joseph Promessi

Vincent Joseph Promessi Resident of Concord Vincent Joseph Promessi, 50, of Concord died unexpectedly in his sleep, at his parent's home, on Wednesday, December 15, 2010. He was awaiting hip replacement surgery and fought a hard battle with the constant pain. Vince was born in Pittsburg on July 11, 1960 and was a lifelong resident of Concord. He was a heavy equipment operator and had his own business for a time. He was a member of Operating Engineers #3 in Oakland. Vince was a 1979 graduate of Clayton Valley High School attended DVC. He was active in sports and excelled in Baseball and Football. Vince is survived by his children Michael and Jennifer Promessi; parents Claude and Kathleen Promessi; sister Klaudia Promessi; brothers John Promessi (La Donna) and Tony Promessi; nephew Victor and niece Alyssa Promessi. He was prede-ceased in death by his son Nicholas; grandparents Vincent and Mayme Promessi; and Joseph and Katherine Mercurio. Visitation will be Monday, December 20, 2010 commencing at 6pm with Funeral Liturgy at 7:30pm at St. Bonaventure Church, 5562 Clayton Road, Concord. Private Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Antioch.
