Vera Maraccini Barrett, 79, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2012 in Walnut Creek, CA, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in San Francisco, CA on September 14, 1933 to Charles and Agnes Maraccini and was the loving sister of Angelo and Leo Maraccini. Vera was a dedicated volunteer at Kaiser Hospital for many years and a passionate supporter of A.R.F.; she was also a big S.F. Giants fan. She will be remembered by family and her many friends as the giving and loving person who always put others before herself. She is survived by her brother Angelo, sisters-in-law Mary and Adrienne, and a host of nieces and great nieces, nephews and great nephews. May she rest in peace, knowing she was truly loved by all who knew her. A Vigil Service will be held Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 at 6pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 2039 Mt. Diablo Blvd., Walnut Creek. Funeral Liturgy will be Saturday, Nov. 17 at 12 noon also at St. Mary's. Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Lafayette.
