Steven Tassell Obituary


 

 Steven Douglas Tassell March 1985 - Nov. 2010 Resident of Antioch Steven Tassell passed away Thanksgiving morning from injuries he sustained from an accident which occurred while he was enjoying the view from Grizzly Peak, he was 25. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him. Steven was born in the Mt. Diablo Hospital. He attended Sutter Elementary, Park Middle School and graduated from Deer Valley High School in 2003. He was employed at Golf and Games, Sears, and the Jumpy Company. Steven also attended Westwood College and the Academy of Arts studying advertising, Steven enjoyed being outdoors and loved aggressive inline skating and snowboarding with his friends. He had no fear of heights and had tried paragliding and skydiving. Steven also loved listening to music, drawing and tattoos. Most of all Steven loved his family and friends. Steven is survived by his loving parents, Tom and Toni Tassell of Antioch; his older brother, Brian Tassell of Antioch. He also leaves behind his paternal grandfather, Harry Tassell of Antioch; his maternal grandmother, Jeannie Herrera of Antioch; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Tony Herrera; paternal grandmother, Helen Tassell and his Uncle David Tassell. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Higgins Funeral Chapel, 1310 "A" Street in Antioch from 4-8pm with a Rosary at 7:30pm on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 10am on Friday, December 3rd at Higgins, with the burial at Oak View Memorial Park at 2500 East 18th Street. Donations may be made to the Antioch Parks and Recreation Department.
