Roslie Dorighi June 7, 1923 - Nov. 22, 2010 Resident of Walnut Creek Born Roslie Seller on a farm in Bird City, Kansas to Mamie (Winter) and Otto; she was the fifth of six children. Her family moved to Denver, CO where she grew up and met John, her beloved husband of 63 years. Upon John finding a steady job in the San Francisco war industry, she traveled with Mamie by bus in the spring of 1942 to marry John in St. Patrick's Church in The City. From their downtown apartment, they began their family but later moved to the Sunset district to lovingly raise three children. Roslie first worked in the Navy Purchasing Office, migrated to full-time wife and mother, and returned to work as an administrative assistant in special education. After more than forty years in San Francisco, Roslie and John retired to Walnut Creek. She will be remembered for her complete devotion to family, strength of character, generosity and hospitality, and eternally grateful and positive attitude. Roslie was a loving wife and mother, preceded in death by her husband, John, her first-born son John Jr, and her infant son Robert and is survived by her daughter Diane Kloeppel of Brentwood, CA, and her son Gary Dorighi of Fremont, CA. She was a caring sister, preceded in death by Gerald, Rodney, Elizabeth, and Genevieve of Denver, CO and survived by her brother, Otto of Las Vegas, NV. She was the cherished grandmother of John, Matthew, Jeanne, Nicholas, Heidi, Christie, Eric, Kristel, and Mark, and great-grandmother to twelve additional children. Friends and family are invited to services at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1600 Ross-moor Parkway in Walnut Creek, CA, beginning with a viewing at 9:30am and followed immediately by a Rosary and Funeral Mass. A reception will follow at The Waterford. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations in her name to Catholic Charities of the East Bay or to Catholic Relief Services.
