Born Robin Dee Cohenon August 15, 1946 in Berkeley, California, she is preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Ruby Cohen and her grandmothers Dora Cohen and Jennie Golzman. Since early childhood, she was known by family members as "Bonnie". A registered nurse specializing in neo-natal intensive care, she later transitioned to health care case management before making a career change to hospital patient care practices consulting, and finally to management of Children's Public Health Services in Solano County. An enthusiastic world traveler, Robin visited Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, sharing the road and seas with her friends and relatives. She helped to establish the local chapter of the Red Hat Society, and will be greatly missed by its members in Walnut Creek. Memorial service arrangements to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests donations in her memory to your local hospice, Red Hat Society, or charity of your choice. Robin devoted her professional life to improving the health care system and quality of care for everyone; she would want all to consider the importance of good health care for everyone when voting. Special thanks to Drs. Jorge Salazar-Suero and Elizabeth Odumakinde, and other members of the "Team Robin" health provider team at John Muir Medical Center of Concord, who not only provided her with skilled and devoted care, but became her dear friends as well.
