Robert Michael Simanek Sept. 26, 1940 ~ Oct.26, 2010 36-Year Resident of Oakley Born in Lincoln, Nebraska. U.S. Army National Guard Veteran. Worked as a diesel mechanic for 22 years. Survived by his wife of 46 years Dorothy; sons Mark Gudnason, Ross Gudnason, and Michael Simanek (Trish); daughters Elizabeth (Kent) Thompson and Dorothy A. Simanek; grandchildren Kristen and Michael Simanek Jr., and McKenna Thompson; brother Zerne Haning III (Elizabeth); numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs Dale Earhart and Madison. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 1, 2010 at 10am with a service at 11am at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Burial to follow.
