"Randy" Mary Gould

Randy was born in Charleston, South Carolina. She attended the College of Charleston. She served as a WAVE officer during World War II and met fellow Navy officer Gene Gould while stationed in the Bay Area and selling war bonds. They married in 1948. She was a warm and engaging wife, mother and hostess who enjoyed their adventures and entertaining in Guam, Virginia, Rhode Island, Georgia, and Hawaii. She settled in Orinda in 1964. She enjoyed many friendships and community activities especially bridge and gardening. She will be forever cherished by her husband Gene, son and daughter, John Gould of Salt Lake City, and Caroline Rees of Fair Oaks, son-in-law Norm Rees, grandchildren Lea Webb and Brian Rees, grandson-in-law Andy Webb and great grandson Zach. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Orinda at 1 PM.
