Patsy Butler Former Resident of Pittsburg Patsy Butler, age 74, passed peacefully, surrounded by family at her daughter's residence in Bay Point on Sunday morning, Nov. 21, 2010 after a valiant battle with lymphoma. Patsy was born Dec. 2, 1935 in Walters, Oklahoma, a daughter of Luther and Nina Sanders. She grew up in Port Chicago, and resided in West Pittsburg for 32 years, before moving to Phoenix 17 years ago. She worked as a truck driver in construction for 10 years, and had also worked as a dental assistant for 20 years before her retirement. Her passion was her family and many friends, but she also enjoyed trips to casinos, sewing, painting with acrylics, and collecting frog statues of all types and sizes. Patsy is survived by Murl Butler who was her best friend, lover, and husband, for 51 years; beloved children Kim Butler (Peggy) of Austin, TX, Terri Fagundes (Mike Anastas) of Bay Point, CA, and Sandi Brown (Bob) of Antioch, CA; cherished brother Earl Sanders (Patricia) of Bay Point; and 5 adored grandchildren, Brodie Heinrichsen (Jasmine) of Chandler, AZ, Kelly Butler (companion Kara Gossen) of N. Hollywood, CA, Keith Butler of Austin, TX, Lisa Brown of Benicia, CA and Robert Brown of Antioch, CA. The Funeral Service will be at 1:00pm Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010 at Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral Chapel, 4125 Clayton Rd., Concord. Burial will follow at Oak View Memorial Park, Antioch. Memorial contributions may be made to the
American Cancer Society .
