Norman H. Ironside

Norman H. Ironside Jan. 9, 1927 ~ Dec. 3, 2010 Resident of Walnut Creek Norman H. Ironside, a long time resident of Walnut Creek and Danville, passed away in Concord on Friday December 3, 2010. Norman was born in Honolulu, HI, and grew up in Oakland, CA where he was an All Star football player for Fremont High School. He was formerly the owner of King's Food Center in Pleasant Hill and Lafayette as well as Black's Market in Orinda. In his later years, Norman had a career in advertising. He was an avid golfer. Norman was the beloved father of Norman H. Ironside, Jr. of Granite Bay, CA; Linda Finken of Casa Grande, AZ; Gayle Stewart of Placerville, CA; Rod Ironside of Placerville, CA; Dale Ironside of Merlin, OR; Jeff Ironside of Cottonwood, CA; and Shawna Kummen of Alamo, CA. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Private family services will be held.
