MAXINE JULIA MOSCHETTI
MAY 16, 1924 - MARCH 13, 2011
Resident of Danville
Former resident of Richmond
Maxine slipped away peacefully in her sleep with her family at her bedside. She lived a long and happy life. She loved well and was well loved in return.
She was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico to Anna Kopytek and Jess Ewing. They eventually moved to Florence, Colorado where she met her future husband, Frank Moschetti. Shortly after, World War II intervened. While Frank went off to fight in the Pacific, Maxine moved to Richmond, California where she did her part for the war effort in the shipyards as a proud Rosie the Riveter and as a Junior Hostess at the U.S.O.
When the war ended Frank joined Maxine in Richmond where they married and settled down and raised their family. What a good Mom and Dad they were. We could not have asked for better parents.
As empty nesters they moved to Todd Valley retirement community near Auburn where they made many new friends and spent summers teaching their grandchildren the wonders of nature found in country living. Maxine delighted in writing an amusing column for the local newspaper and and playing in the Kitchen Band with other women in the neighborhood. There they lived happily for 17 years until Frank's death after 50 years of marriage.
Maxine then moved to Diablo Lodge in Danville to be near her family. In her 14 years there she again made many new friends and enjoyed a variety of activities. She loved to paint with watercolors, make pottery, play poker, and especially wii bowling with her league team mates.
Above all she loved her family and was deeply loved in return. She is survived by her children Tanya Seawright and Frank (Diane) Moschetti, her grandchildren Brandi and Patrick Seawright, Anthony, Joseph, Kristin and Mitchell Moschetti, and her great-grandchildren Eric Seawright, Julia Marcrum and Kaitlyn Seawright.
