Martha "Marty" Caroline Bzdula, age 88 passed away peacefully on October 27, 2016 surrounded by family after a lengthy illness. Martha was born on April 17, 1928 to the late William and Lorretta Overbaugh in Cementen, NY.
Martha met and married her late husband Alfred J. Bzdula in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. They married at St. Mark Catholic Church December 26, 1953. Martha worked for several years at Bell telephone before staying home to raise a family. She enjoyed many varied pursuits. Including shopping at Chico's and Costco. Lunching with the ladies, jig saw puzzles, knitting, gardening and playing bingo.
Martha is survived by her loving family; son David Bzdula (Angie) of Concord,
daughter Beth Kobold of Danville and her grandchildren Laura Mallory (Mike), Shawn, Tayler and Sydney.
A Memorial Mass will be said on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Isidores Catholic Church, 440 La Gonda Way, Danville, CA. A reception will follow at the church. Inurnment will be private.
