Macel Edna Sargent Resident of El Sobrante Macel passed away on October 3, 2010 at the age of 93. She moved here during World War II with her husband to work at the Kaiser Shipyards. She soon decided to attend beauty college and found her first place of employment with Bell Beauty Salon in Richmond after graduating, she then went on to work for Lois Marshall and by the early 1960's she found herself opening "Hairstyling by Macel" located in Pinole. Even after retiring, Macel had a faithful amount of folks who would continue to see her for their regular hair styling appointments in her modified basement. She still had one client up until just the week before her passing.
