Jarvis O. Lavaly was born in Crossett, Arkansas on July 22, 1955. He received his education in Oakland, CA graduating from McClymonds High School and Laney College. Jarvis was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship in Antioch, CA and was employed with Berkeley Farms as a foreman for 20 years. He operated a car detailing business in Oakland for many years. Jarvis was known for his love of old cars, old skool music, cooking and his quick wit and sense of humor. Jarvis O. Lavaly deaprted this life surrounded by his loving family on March 12, 2011 and was preceded in death by his father, Archie Crawford and brothers, Gary Green and Mark Crawford. He leaves to cherish his precious memory: his loving wife of 26 years, Patrice; his adored daughters, Angelique and Jalisa; parents, Uneda and Oliver Tillman; sister, Philisha Goree; brother, Ronnie Crawford; mother-in-law, Alice Conner; nieces; nephews and a host of other relatives, many friends and his church family.
Friends are invited to attend the visitation, Friday, March 18 from 3-8pm with a quiet hour from 6:30-7:30pm at Dan Scales Funeral Services, 107 W. 8th St, Pittsburg. Funeral Service, Saturday, March 19, 11am at Grace Bible Fellowship, 913 Sunset Dr, Antioch. Interment will be held in Crossett, AR.
