Janell Pender Resident of Pittsburg Janell Pender was the daughter of the late Admiral DeWitty and the late Ladie Mae Surcey. She graduated from PHS in 1948 and was employed by the State of CA for 28 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Janell Pender departed this life on October 3, 2010 and was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Julius Pender and her son Karl Anthony. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Valerie (Alex) Chatman; grand-daughters Melodie and Kathryn; and a host of other relatives, friends and her church family. Viewing, Mon.
