Forence Mary James Mar. 20, 1917 ~ Dec. 28, 2010 Resident of Rossmoor, Walnut Creek Florence, known to her 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren as "Mimi", died peacefully on December 28th after 93 years of good health and a happy life. Florence was born in Ogema, Minnesota to John and Mary Kraker and was one of ten children. She became a Registered Nurse, moved to California to practice nursing and shortly thereafter met her husband Bill. She was a Bay Area resident for over 70 years where in addition to raising three children, she worked part-time as a nurse and participated in many charities and civic groups. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Madick; son Michael and his wife Susan; grandchildren Mike, Greg, Stephanie, Tiffany, Samantha and Billy; and great-grandchildren Jack, Cali, Cody, Ally, Jesse, and Brooke; plus numerous in-laws and friends who loved her. Florence was prede-ceased by husband Bill Sr.; son Bill Jr.; and son-in-law Mike Madick. There will be a private burial and in the spring/summer of 2011, a special public celebration of her life. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to either the " Leukemia and Lymphoma Society" or the American Cancer Society
