Evelyn Rose Fink June 3, 1917 ~ Oct. 13, 2010 Resident of Martinez Evelyn Rose Fink passed away on Wednesday at the age of 93. She touched many lives with her friendliness and enthusiasm for life. Evelyn, a native Californian, was born in the township of Cowell to Pietro and Edith Curzi in 1917. Her family moved to Martinez in 1936, where she lived out her active life as a wife, mother and caregiver. Evelyn had a long career as a secretary at Martinez Jr. High School. She was an active member of the Catholic Charities and the Elks Club. She enjoyed playing the piano, dancing, and walking on windy days. For 63 years she and her husband held season tickets to the San Francisco 49er games. Evelyn was married to Norman Fink until his death in 1998. She survived her brother Harry Curzi, a singer with the popular Henry Gallagher Orchestra during the 1940's and 1950's. Evelyn is survived by her devoted son Greg Miller of Pleasant Hill, and her sister Ruth Light of Danville. She will be missed by all who knew her lively spirit. Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 5-8p.m. and a funeral service on Thursday, October 21 at 11am at Oakmont Memorial Park & Mortuary, 2099 Reliez Valley Road in Lafayette (925) 935-3311.
