Donna Lee Reed entered peacefully into rest after a courageous battle with cancer on December 11, 2012. Donna is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Ronald, mother in law Ruth Reed, brother in law David (Debbie) Reed and nephew Jack Reed, sister in law Jan (Michael) Locker. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Donna had been previously employed at Blue Cross in Oakland for 33 years. She enjoyed traveling and taking cruises, bowling, cooking and was an expert at needlework. Donna loved birds and dogs, especially Max, her dachshund. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Ouimet Bros., Concord Funeral Chapel, 4125 Clayton Road, Concord. She will be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Lafayette, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society .
