Our father, David Wallace Pogue passed away after an unexpected battle with a rare disease, PML. He was 86 years. He died at home with his family around him. He had been a resident of Orinda since 1970 and long-time member of Lafayette Orinda Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Barbara Pogue, beloved children Elizabeth, Sarah, David and Caroline and his much loved grandchildren Nicholas, Jeffrey, Danielle, Matthew, Emily, Colin, Nicole, Ryan and Rose and his sister Doris Van Norman and brothers Charles and Robert. He was born in LA but spent most of his life in Oakland. A graduate of the US Naval Academy in 1951, he served his country well in WW II, the Korean War and Vietnam. He retired from the Navy after 20 years and became a stock broker for Dean Witter in Berkley for another 20 years. He will be greatly missed by all who know him. Dave's memorial service will be held on Friday at LOPC at 3pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Research Fund for PML, National Organization for Rare Disorders, Danbury, CT.
