Clarence E. Blair Sept. 22, 1924 ~ Oct. 4, 2010 Resident of Orinda Clarence Blair has passed away at the age of 86. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ann. Clarence will be dearly missed by his children Pat Pomidor and husband John; Chris Cregger and husband Bruce; David Blair and wife Susan; and Daniel Blair and wife Bibiana; and his grandchildren Joe, Andy, Tiffany, Josh, Daniel, Cam, and Ty. Clarence moved to the Bay Area almost 4 years ago. Even though he was wheelchair bound, he fell in love with the natural beauty of the area and watched over the birds at the feeders outside his window. Clarence served in both World War II and the Korean War and received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. A Memorial Service for Clarence, with military honors, will take place on Friday, November 12 at 11:15am at Riverside National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Save Mount Diablo Friends of Gary, 1901 Olympic Blvd. Suite 220, Walnut Creek, CA 94596. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff of Orinda Convalescent Hospital and, before that, Woodland Nursing Inn, for their loving care of Dad.
