Catherine Ramona Kovisto Mar. 3, 1927 - Oct. 3, 2010 Long Time Resident of San Ramon Cathy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Hugo "Ed" Kovisto. Also left behind are her four children, Lynda, David (Karen), Steven and Mark (Stacy) and five grandchildren, Andrew, Analiese, Aaron, Cassidy and Jennifer. Cathy led a full life beginning in Jamestown, New York. She moved to the Los Angeles area in her twenties and finally to Northern California where she married and raised her children. Cathy had a zest for life that included climbing El Capitan, hunting, piloting her own plane, sailing in her sailboat, as well as cross country skiing at her favorite, Squaw Valley. She worked as an Occupational Therapist Assistant at the Veterans Hospital in Martinez. For the last 40 years she was crippled with Rheumatoid Arthritis that slowed her down, but she never complained! She is missed terribly, but her family is thankful that she is finally out of pain. No services, the family is having a private reception October 17.
