Brian Eric Benzler Resident of Antioch Dec. 22, 1983-Dec. 28, 2010 Our beloved Brian passed away suddenly, at the young age of 27 on December 28, 2010. His unexpected passing has left all of his family and friends with a profound sense of loss and grief. Brian, wonderful son of Gary and Sylvia Benzler, was born December 22, 1983 in Concord. He was a lifelong Antioch resident, who attended Sutter Elementary, Park JH, and Deer Valley HS. Brian was an Allstar athlete who played many sports, but his favorite was baseball which he played for 22 years of his life. Brian loved snow-boarding, fishing, boating, jet skiing, and motorcycling. He was an enthusiastic SF 49ers fan. He lived life to the fullest, although he left us too soon. Brian was devoted to the love of his life, his fianc‚e Kristin Hudson and they cherished their time together. Brian was an amazing father to his young daughters Alyssa, 7, Kayla, 3, and Brylee, 1. He adored his girls and they adored him-he was "Big Daddy." Brian worked side by side with his grandfather, father, uncles, and cousins in the family business, Benzler Industrial Flooring, for the past eight years. His workmanship quickly surpassed his father's 35 years of experience and he soon became job coordinator and lead man. He is survived by his parents Gary and Sylvia Benzler; brothers Richard and Justin; grandparents, Shirley Benzler, Wolfgang (Karin) Farnung. He is also survived by aunts and uncles Alan (Camme), Mark (Robin), and Janis Benzler; Jutta (Steven) Klein, Peter and Kevin (Frances) Farnung; cousins Derek, Sean, and Kurt Benzler, Alexandra and Scott Klein, Julia, Cassandra, Andrew, and Jason Farnung. He was like a brother to many and touched the lives of all he knew. Brian is preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Benzler (2-24-2008). A memorial service will be held on January 6th at 1 p.m. at Golden Hills Community Church, 2401 Shady Willow Lane, Brentwood. Reception immediately following.
