Brat Hirshfield

Bart Hirshfield Resident of Walnut Creek Bart Hirshfield, age 64, died Tuesday 10/19. Bart was a lifelong resident of Contra Costa County, graduating from El Cerrito High School in 1964. He loved sports and the outdoors and was known as the "silver trunks kid" after receiving the covetous Silver Trunks from the sports department in high school. Bart went on to Cal Berkeley, where he received a Masters degree from the Haas School of Business. Bart spent his career in real estate and mortgage lending. One of his greatest pleasures was spending time with his friends, cooking gourmet meals, rafting on the American River, fishing and being in Maui. He will be remembered as a loyal friend, a great cook, having a zest for life, generous with whatever he had, and a quick and brilliant mind. He will be greatly missed. Bart is survived by his sisters, Sally Hirshfield and Susan Briggs, his brother in law Ron Briggs, his niece Carole Weamer Kincannon, and many, many friends. A memorial will be held at 4:00pm, Tuesday, Nov. 16th at the Alamo Women's Club, 1401 Danville Blvd, Alamo. Contact sallyh16@gmail for info.
