Betty Noack

Betty (Riddell) Noack Longtime Lafayette Resident Betty passed away peacefully on Dec. 18, 2010, at the age of 98. She was born on March 30, 1912 in San Francisco. She lived all her life in the Bay Area, attending University High School, U.C. Berkeley, graduating in 1934. She did social work then married Gus Noack in 1936. They had two children- John Noack of Lafayette and Nancy Barrett of St. Helens, Oregon; Three grandchildren- Kevin Noack, Bonnie Barrett and Bill Barrett; and two great grandaughters- Ellie and Jessica Barrett. Betty was very active with Sigma Kappa Panhellenic, Lafayette Garden Club, Youth Homes and Lafayette Library. She loved people, flowers, music, animals, volunteering and tennis. She spent the last 9 months at Bethel Home Care in Walnut Creek, content and well cared for. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
