Barbara Conners

Barbara, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on Nov. 9, 2016.
Barbara was born and raised in Berkeley, Calif. She was a graduate of Berkeley High School where she began her quest to help her surrounding community. She spent most of her young life in Berkeley and met several life-long friends there.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Meryl (Joe) Trebino, her son, Michael Conners, seven granddaughters, a grandson and nine great-grandchildren.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband and her son, Howard and Robert.
Barbara retired as secretary in the Planning Department of Pleasant Hill. Barbara was very involved in community affairs. She belonged to Soroptimist of Pleasant Hill and was an avid worker for Rogers Ranch. Barbara was voted Pleasant Hill Citizen of the Year for her continuous work and contributions for her community.
Barbara cherished the many deep and lasting friendships that she had throughout her life. All who knew her will miss her warmth, smile and willingness to help. She was an avid traveler with her close girl-friends and husband and always had ideas for fun adventures with her friends.
The family is grateful to the staff at Redwood Home in Pleasant Hill for their never ending care of Barbara. The family also wants to thank Hospice of East County and Libby, a true friend.
Barbara has requested no funeral or memorial service but asked that if people want to remember her, they make a donation in her name to Friends of Rodgers Ranch (FORR) P.O. Box 23382, Pleasant Hill, CA.
