Antonio Rodriguez Resident of Concord Antonio Rodriguez, age 78, passed away in Concord on Tuesday night, Feb. 1, 2011. Antonio was born June 10, 1932 in Roseville, one of 9 children of Jose and Carmen Rodriguez, and has resided the past 41 years in Concord. He worked for Concord Disposal for 32 years, retiring as a Sanitation Engineer. He has been a member of the Teamster's Union Local 315 of Martinez for the past 48 years, and was the Minister of the church in Martinez, Templo Bethel. A devoted family man who enjoyed spending every opportunity to gather with his family for barbeques, he also enjoyed gardening, and caring for his many animals. He always had an open door for any family member or person in need. Antonio will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Angelita Rodriguez of Concord; beloved children Beatrice Pena of Alameda, Eva Cadena of Pittsburg, Christopher Cadena of Delhi, Caroline Leon of Hayward, Darlene Archibeque of Concord, and Tony Rodriguez, Jr. of Fairfield; by 3 loving sisters; 3 devoted brothers; 14 loving grandchildren; 7 cherished great-grandchild-ren; and 1 adored great-great-grandchild. He was predeceased by one sister and one brother and one grandchild. Visitation will be from 4pm-7pm Thursday, Feb. 10, with the Vigil beginning at 7pm at the Upper Room Church, 500 Harris Road, Hayward. The Funeral Service will be at 10:00am, Friday, Feb. 11, at the Upper Room Church. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Concord.
