Alberta L Boeger

Alberta L. (Stratton) Boeger Nov. 14, 1924~March 10, 2011 Resident of Contra Costa Alberta was raised in Pocahantos, Iowa, followed her family to California, graduated Mt. Diablo High School, Concord, then met & married George J. Boeger in June 1942. She raised 7 children, and 13 foster children, drove ammunition trucks during the War, delivered the Oakland Tribune, managed their rentals, and was a major force behind the Pacheco Town Council for over 50 years. She ranched, and raised kids for the next 30 years in West Pittsburg with her husband. They retired to Chico to be closer to their children in 1995. Alberta was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, George J. Boeger Sr., is survived by grown children, Ron, Morris, Fred, Steve, Barbara, George Jr., and Karl Boeger, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. A service will be held Wed. March 16, at Ouimet Brothers Funeral Chapel, Concord at 1:00 pm. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Parkinson Society.
